Things he misses most!

Everything is going great! Casey's counts are where the doctor would like them. He will have a bone marrow biapsy next week. He is wondering if anyone would like to trade him. This is where they dig into the bone and pull out some marrow to see what is being created (normal cells or leukemia). This is very painful. It is like watching a cow be branded. He acts like one too!

Things he misses most:

1. Being able to do anything about the letters from the home owners association.

2. Being 10 pounds bigger.

3. The temperature (Aaron says its hot as h... outside but it sure feels like h.... in here).

4. Having thin hair.

5. Hearing firecrackers in the middle of the night.

6. Being toilet papered and having signs in your yard.

7. Being honked at.

8. Driving all the way across town for work.

9. Pulling weeds.

10. Cable TV.

You really don't realize how good you have it til it's all gone. Tell us something you really would miss. (non-commenters don't be shy)

We're happy to hear your counts continue to be good Casey---I'm so sorry you have to go thru the biopsy though--sounds awful. We should have traded--you could have done my 4 hour glucose tolerance test last week, it was brutal!

Things I currently miss: being able to sleep on my stomach, cooler weather, and anything good on TV.

Things I would miss if I was at the Mtn View vacation club: eating fresh vegetables, sleeping in my own bed, having my kids wake me up in the morning.

The thing I would miss the most is hiding in the back of people's minivans and meowing like a cat for 15 minutes while the front seat passenger is convinced they now have a cat.

Casey--

If you have internet access in your room, I'll buy a Slingbox and hook it up to my TV so you can have cable.

On a more serious note:

Casey, that stinks about the biospy. Good luck. Take lots of drugs.

It's pretty sad when it is only Brianne, The Dixons and myself that leave comments! I would miss the option of just doing anything I wanted. It sucks to be told what to do. I bet you are ready for a movie? Next week?

A few things I would miss:

1. playing on the floor with Aerie
2. my cat curling up in my lap
3. watching the turtles and water birds in the pond behind our house
4. The Daily Show, Colbert Report, and Ace of Cakes
5. shopping at Super Target

Good luck with the biopsy! That sounds pretty terrible to me.

I miss everyone there in Las Vegas. I was so relieved to hear that your counts are good even thought to be honest I don't really know what that means other than that is good. Dustin and I have been thinking a lot about you guys and praying for your family. Good luck with the bone marrow check and we are waiting to hear more good news!

I would miss my privacy. Isn't it the worst that all the nurses and CNA's take it upon themselves to walk in on you right as you pee, or strip, or even worse, fart? After being one of those rude people, I value my privacy in hospitals.

Best of luck with the biopsy!

Hey Casey, we saw your sweet little kids at church last sunday, it must be hard being away from them!! Just wanted you to know that we will be praying for you next week, that sounds very painful. You mentioned fireworks......remember when Ben put that M80 into the mailbox at Blaine just as the postman was coming down the road. We sure got into a lot of trouble for that!!! Everytime I think of that it makes me laugh. Those were some good times!! Hang in there and remember everyone is pulling for you!!!

Things I would miss most:

1. Toilet papering your house when your next store helping the neighbors. :)
2. Ditching church and hiding out at the Bushmans house. (And parking my car in the garage, so there is no evidence)
3. Arguing with my mom about getting a job.
4. Being able to make my mom take me shopping. Then laugh when she gets yelled at for spending too much money.
5. Seeing Caseys butt when he's getting his biopsy.
6. Having chair races at the hospital and getting in trouble by the cleaning lady while waiting to see casey's butt.
7. Giving you spanish cards that you can't traslate. (hopefully it didn't say anything bad, it was all my mom's idea)
8. Seeing that funny picture of us in your room. Makes me laugh every time.
9. Having my car break down on me.
10. Waiting for you to take me out to a steak dinner. (your up to 5 friends). Then downgrading in to fast food without stating the rules. CHEATER!

Hope your biopsy results were good! We'll come visit in a few days, I know you can't get enough of us! :)
love, Sam <3
