INFUSION DAY

Today was the big day and am I glad it is over. Ty went in at 9:00 am and donated his t3 cells. Thanks Ty. I went in at 2:00 pm to get the infusion. Good job Casey. It was alot like my Bone Marrow Transplant, only shorter. It took only 3o mins. to do the infusion, and it took a hour and a half for the benadryl to wear off. There were no complications and as my Doctor put it "I look better in person than on paper". They are looking for some sort of Graft Vs. Host reaction, this will take 4-6 weeks to happen. Then they treat me with some sort of drugs that will contain the Graft Vs. Host. Looks like we will be going back to Las Vegas this Saturday.

We will see what takes place over the next few weeks.

Casey

Horray!!!! Will the graft vs host reactions be like the transplant ones? Are you going to lose your finernails again? I hope you will just be normal, oh wait, you weren't before!!!!

So happy to hear the infusion went so well - we love to hear good news. Glad you're coming back home this week. Lani, does this mean you can be my visiting teacher again? I miss you and Amber visiting me!!!!!

Hello! I found your blog through Cam and Coralees website. I wanted to say hi and let you know that I have been thinking of you often eventhough you don't know me well and I had no idea what was happening in your neck of the woods. Now that I'm not in Southern Alberta I don't get to hear all the 'news'. I pray that things will continue to go well for you and that your family will remain strong. You have been dealt a difficult hand and it is good to see how positive you and your family are. Hang in there!

Hey Casey,

I just saw your comments on Cam's blog. Obviously I'm a little slow on the draw but I am glad to see that you are having some positive events. Deb and I were up visiting Cam in Calgary last weekend and he is very positive.

Keep working on getting healthy and we will add our prayers and thoughts to the thousands of others in your behalf!

Hi Casey,

It was great to hear from you the other day and to know that you get to go home with your family. We are starting to realize what a long haul this gig is going to be. We are in awe of your stamina and your positive attitude despite all the ups and downs you've had. Cam is doing much better since that night you called. He has got a terrible rash every where but he is gladly trading the nausea for that. Hope that Ty's T-cells continue to do the trick.

Hi Casey, I also got your blog info through Cam and Coralee's. Sorry you and your family have gone through so much. Glad to hear things seem to be going better now. You have always had such a good sense of humor, you amaze me. It's obvious Lani is an amazing wife! Please know you are thought of often. Our prayers are with you. Keep up the good fight!
