First Post

With the help of Jill J. we have created a blog!!

Today we got the hickman catheter on left shoulder. This will facilitate the administration of the Chemotherapy drugs. The hickman catheter goes from your chest over your collarbone onto the superior vena cava (for all you dummies it goes to your main vein) it ends just above the opening of the heart. I had a heart ultrasound and could hear the sound of it opening and closing. So Cool! The consistent rhythm was good to hear!!! They will start Chemotherapy tonight at 6:00. Ruth's Chris fillet was brought in to honor the occasion. This was especially nice because when chemo starts everything tastes like rusty nails. Tonight I am looking forward to Smokey and the Bandit if I can see it, my eyes are blurry from some medication.

Today I am thankful for all of the friends and family. I am thankful for the calls.

Your Grandmother gave me your blog. I do not now much about such things but I was able to find it and figure out how to reply. It is a great thing.
I have at least one person a day that asks me how you are doing. You have a lot of friends here that are concerned and offering prayers for you. I will share it with them.
It is too hot and dry here. The crops are suffering. O well that is farming. On Monday Jim Jensen, Alex, Kim Cambell and I rode our bikes over to Kootney lake north of Creston, in to Washington and over to Kalispell and home. About 1000 miles. 3 days with camping overnight. A good time.
Take care, Delton

Casey, it is great to have this blog available. I am here with Grammy (this is Jeff Pitcher typing). We are all praying for you and wish you the best. Delton is right, it is HOT here in Southern Alberta. We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to read the next post. Post pictures as soon as you can.

Good Luck Buddy!! Just don't let any of your lunches go rotten, we don't want a repeat of crossing the border! Everyone gagging in the back of the car!

You are a strong man, Casey. Good luck with the treatments. You need to get you butt back into the office. It is far to quiet. I need to hear every detail of your phone conversations.

I am surprised that you knew what a blog was, let alone how to set it up. If your family reads my posts, they will think that we hate each other. But we don't... or do we? (The plot thickens)

Sounds like the party was a blast, but true friends would tube feed and enjoy the party along with you instead of hauling out into the hall. Tell 'em to get with the program, eh?! It truly is hot here, not like there, thank heavens. Hay silage just finished and covered the pile this am. Thought of the pics we took with all the sons-in-law and Jesse and Chad covering the pile a few years ago. Fun??? Will start grain silage on Monday. We look forward to having the kids. Love ya! Mom

Hi Casy & Lany,
I can see that what ever I did to send best wishes to you in July did not work as it never showed up. Here I go again.
Our love to you at this new difficult time. You continue to 'give' strength to all, thank you for sharing.
Sure love you. Aunt Montez & Uncle Jim
